Investment philosophy

Until the end of its investmnet period in 2012, GEIF Ventures will continue making investment aiming to demonstrate that significant financial returns can be made by co-investing with business angels. We also help to support English SMEs and assist in the bridging of the ‘equity gap’.

GEIF Ventures Early Growth is not a lead investor and can only invest when a company receives an investment from GEIF business angels following an introduction to them by GEIF team. Therefore, all companies that wish to apply for investment from GEIF Ventures Fund need to first present their proposal to the Great Eastern Investment Forum

GEIF Ventures is able to co-invest up to £100,000 intially and, if required, after 9 months follow its investment with up to £400,000 of additional capital.

The investments will generally be made on the same financial terms as received by other private investors, but may be subject to additional requirements. GEIF Ventures is not in any way obliged to co-invest if angels do, or to do so on exactly the same terms.
