18 May 2004 – Novacta Biosystems Limited today announced that it is collaborating in a study with AstraZeneca to produce drug metabolites using its METABOLITE FACTORY technology.
Commenting on the agreement, Dr Mike Dawson, Novacta's Director of Research, said 'We are delighted to have the opportunity to use our technology in conjunction with AstraZeneca. We look forward to a productive relationship that capitalises on the strengths of Navacta's biotransformation technology and expertise in this area'.
Novacta Biosystems Limited is a privately owned company based in Hatfield UK. Novacta uses its platform of biotransformation and biosynthetic engineering technologies in research and development services for the pharmaceutical, chemical, food and cosmetic industries, and in research and development of its own novel drug compounds.
